NADJA to duet z Toronto tworzony przez Aidana Bakera oraz Leah Buckareff grających muzykę łączącą elementy eksperymentalne, dronowe, ambientowe i doom metalowe. Założony w 2003 roku przez Bakera projekt był pierwotnie solowym przedsięwzięciem. Dopiero w 2005 roku dołączyła do niego Buckareff celem przeniesienia studyjnych nagrań na scenę. NADJA ma na koncie wiele albumów wydanych m.in. w takich wytwórniach jak Alien8 Recordings [ca], The End Records [usa], Conspiracy Records [be] czy Foreshadow [pl].

This release, two years in the making, inspired partly by la petit mort, the little death achieved by one's own hands or by the hands of others (as four hands please better than two) continues in the O.R.E. tradition of opulent depravity and decadent beauty as an unrestrained aural and aesthetic opus to the drives of man, sealed with apocalips kisses. "Obaj muzycy spotkali się wcześniej podczas nagrywania płyty „Hi Brasil is where we are” legionowskiej grupy Brasil and the Gallowbrothers Band. Nowy projekt eksploruje jednak zupełnie nowe rejony. Ten duet to przede wszystkim spotkanie dwóch skrajnie różnych światów instrumentalnych ale też porozumienie odmiennych wyobrażeń o muzyce. Akustyczne perkusjonalia z całego świata koegzystują z elektronicznymi preparacjami i przetworzoną trąbką. Spotkanie to ma nad wyraz swobodny charakter, poszczególne nagrania nie tyle są zamkniętymi kompozycjami, ile stanowią nawarstwione improwizacje. W ośmiu utworach zawartych na „Si si” granice między tym co akustyczne a tym co elektroniczne, tym co rytmiczne a tym co jest tłem, dronem, lubią często się rozmywać. Mimo mnogości brzmień całość jest nad wyraz minimalistyczna i pełna przestrzeni a improwizacje mają więcej z mantry i medytacji niż jazzowego free. W muzyce duetu pobrzmiewają echa futurystycznego etno jednocześnie unika ona cukierkowości word music, zachowując korzenny sznyt. Przywołuje to na myśl wspólne dokonania Briana Eno i Jona Hassella i może kojarzyć się ze zelektryfikowanymi mbirami Konono N°1 - tyle że to drugie w znacznie bardziej wyciszonym, spowolnionym wydaniu. Nie są to jednoznaczne nawiązania, raczej podobieństwa w traktowaniu instrumentów, być może nieraz zbieżność idei. To jednak tylko jeden aspekt tego albumu bo równie dobrze może on nawiązywać do tradycji film for the ears i być odbierany jako concept album, którego treść muzycy pozostawili do odgadnięcia odbiorcy... "Split dwóch przedstawicieli ostrego gatunku. Polskiego projektu BRANDKOMMANDO oraz bułgarskiego CAVUM ORIS. Ponad 50 minut hałasów z gatunku Power Electronics. BRANDKOMMANDO przedstawił nieco delikatniejsze oblicze, industrialne i eksperymentalnie, ale nie pozbawione wokali. CAVUM ORIS to ostry i dający kopa power electronics! Płyta wydana w postaci książeczki – czarna tektura plus drukowana wkładka. W środku okładka z naklejonymi zdjęciami w nietypowym formacie. Całość zabezpieczona czerwoną i zadrukowana obwolutą. "Trudno jest przyjąć koneserom muzyki industrialnej do wiadomości fakt, że Coph Nia lubi grać covery. Zespół ma już kilka takich nagrań na swoim koncie. Przerobili punkowy hymn The Leather Nun "Prime Mover" na mroczny, industrialny krajobraz; wzięli na warsztat utwory tak różnych artystów jak Front 242, Bauhaus, Arthur Brown czy nawet The Rolling Stones.
Nagrywanie coverów niesie za sobą pewne niebezpieczeństwo: zespół może skończyć jako grający wyłącznie covery. Zagrożenie jest jeszcze większe, jeśli zespół zabiera się np. za The Rolling Stones – to prosta droga do wejścia w krąg zespołów grających „Sweet Home Alabama" w pubach rockowych i zjazdach dla harleyowców w miejscowościach, z powodu których Bóg pije by zapomnieć, że je stworzył.
Z drugiej strony, równie beznadziejnej, można skończyć jako zespół grający na weselach. Pamiętacie ten mało zabawny film Adama Sandlera?
Jeśli myślisz, że Coph Nia ma za dużo klasy, by skończyć w ten sposób, to… powiedzmy, że za bardzo wierzysz w ten zespół. Coph Nia już teraz ma sporo doświadczenia w graniu koncertów w kiepskich pubach, a nawet grali już na weselu! (hmm, był to mój wieczór kawalerski, ale zdecydowanie miał powiązania z weselem).
W desperackiej próbie uniknięcia tworzenia podkładu muzycznego dla tatuśków podrywających nieletnie dziewczynki w pubie i podejrzanych typów wykonujących ruchy z Gorączki Sobotniej Nocy, Coph Nia zdecydowała się wziąć bestię za rogi i spróbowała egzorcyzmów nad Demonem Coverów, nim ten ich pochłonie.
Rezultatem tych starań jest to nagranie. Kolekcja coverów w interpretacji Coph Nia zawierająca „Mr Crowley" Ozziego Osbourne'a – utwór, dla nagrania którego powstał zespół Mr Aldenona; „Black Sabbath" zespołu o tej samej nazwie, „Sick Things" Alice'a Coopera oraz „Levitation" psychodelicznych rockmanów z Hawkwind.
Miejmy nadzieję, że egzorcyzmy zadziałają. Jeśli nie, wiecie gdzie szukać Coph Nia za kilka lat…

HOARFROST "Ground Zero"

"Debiutancka płyta śląskiego projektu Hoarfrost, znanego z licznych wydawnictw netowych. Tytułowa strefa zero to tworzący się pod wpływem nieznanego kataklizmu krajobraz gruzu i zwałów stali, unoszącego się w powietrzu pyłu, rdzy i odłamków, walących się budowli, gdzie stalowe konstrukcje gną się i składają jak talia kart. Na 37-minutową opowieść o zagładzie betonowego świata składa się 6 utworów w klimacie dark ambient/industrial (zahaczająca o okolice Schloss Tegal, Predominance, Maeror Tri czy Inade). Dodatkowo na krążku znalazł się też teledysk do utworu „From here to ruins”. Projekt graficzny wykonał Praetorian".
Zacznę od końca, ale nie mogę się powstrzymać. Płyta wydana została tym razem wyjątkowo niekonwencjonalnie jak na Beast Of Prey, mianowicie w... estetycznym digipacku. I żadnej, choćby nawet najmniejszej śrubki Infamis do tego nie dodał! No tego jeszcze nie było, czapki z głów. Ale żarty na bok, zajmijmy sie muzyką.
HATI to już uznana marka na rynku. Unikalne podejście w kwestii instrumentów (przynajmniej w naszym kraju), sporo koncertów w kraju i zagranicą, współpraca z wybitnymi artystami. To wszystko powoduje, że nawet osobnik średnio zorientowany w tym co się dzieje w polskim światku industrialnym powinien kojarzyć przynajmniej nazwę HATI.
Czytając zapowiedź prasową albumu "Die Mechanik, Die!" (świetny tytuł!) podświadomie oczekiwałem czegoś na kształt splitu Herbst9 vs Z'ev wydanego w zeszłym roku przez Loki. Nie do końca jednak tak się stało, bo chociaż klimaty obydwu produkcji czasem się zazębiają, płyta HATI jest jakby skromniejsza, subtelniejsza w kreowaniu atmosfery. Zagrożenie nie jest tak dosłowne - "Through Bleak Landscapes" waliło niemalże od razu w łeb. Tu groza narasta wolniej, ale wcale nie mniej sugestywnie. Wystarczy posłuchać choćby drugiego fragmentu (utwory noszą tytuły od I do VI). Niby spokojny i wyciszony a jednak dźwięki przypominające jęki upośledzonych dzieci w połączeniu z głuchymi dronami robią takie wrażenie, że można za przeproszeniem narobić pod siebie.
Muszę w tym miejscu wspomnieć, że zarówno te jak i inne odgłosy muzycy generują za pomocą raczej nietypowych instrumentów, że wspomnę o gongach chińskich, tajskich i stalowych, grzechotkach, rogach, tubach czy dzwonach. Najpełniej to wszystko brzmi chyba w szóstym, ostatnim, orientalnie zabarwionym fragmencie.
Koniec końców przyznaję, że płyta podoba mi się bardzo. Być może jeszcze za wcześnie na takie stwierdzenia, być może muszę jeszcze nabrać nieco dystansu, ale co tam... moim zdaniem to jak na razie najlepsze wydawnictwo Beast Of Prey jakie w ogóle się ukazało. /Stark/
Wiedziałem że to będzie kapitalna płyta od momentu kiedy o niej usłyszałem po raz pierwszy. Współpraca czołowego przedstawiciela glacjalnego ambientu z drone / ambient / metal / shoegaze'ową (?) NADJA... to nie mogło się nie udać. Dlatego gdy tylko płyta ujrzała światło dzienne zdecydowałem się ją natychmiast zanabyć.
NETHERWORLD oparł swoją część "Magma to Ice" na obróbce i manipulacji krótkich ścinków muzyki klasycznej, przetworzonych w ten sposób, że najwprawniejsze ucho nie jest w stanie rozpoznać materiału wyjściowego. Przypomina się Rapoon ze swoim "Time Frost". Z tym że tak jak (przynajmniej wg samego muzyka Rapoon) te klasyczne fragmenty na "Time Frost" zostały niejako uwięzione w lodzie, tak tutaj, w przypadku NETHERWORLD, sprawiają one wrażenie bezwładnie unoszących się w eterze, incydentalnie przechwytywanych przez stare odbiorniki radiowe (proszę mi wybaczyć moje, czasem absurdalne czy abstrakcyjne skojarzenia). Muzyka NETHERWORLD raczej tchnie spokojem i jest dość melodyjna jak na ambient, ale pewne napięcie daje się tu wyczuć. Cisza przed nadciągającą burzą. Wraz z początkiem czwartego "Ice to Magma" (cóż za trafny tytuł), błyski na horyzoncie robią się coraz wyraźniejsze, a nastrojowe dźwięki NETHERWORLD sekunda po sekundzie zostają tłamszone przez miarowy, jednostajnie narastający, basowo-gitarowy zgiełk NADJA. Alessandro Tedeschi przyrównał ten utwór do odwilży. Trudno się nie przyklasnąć temu spostrzeżeniu. Natomiast słuchając ostatniego utworu o przepięknym acz kompletnie nieadekwatnym do muzyki tytule "Kriplyana (Melted & Refrozen Snow That Looks Blue In Early Morning)" czuję się jakbym stał naprzeciw nadciągającej potężnej fali lawy, wystawiony na łaskę i niełaskę rozszalałego żywiołu. To bezlitosna gitarowa ściana dźwięku, niemal biały szum na pierwszy rzut ucha. Dopiero po wgryzieniu się, przebiciu przez tą gorącą jak diabli, gęstą zasłonę można zauważyć, że wewnątrz kryje się kapitalny, niesamowity klimat.
Płytę wydała francuska Fario (nie mylić z Faria), specjalizująca się właśnie w takich niezwykłych kolaboracjach. Oby tak dalej - "Magma to Ice" to dla mnie jak na razie kandydat numer jeden do miana najlepszej płyty 2008 roku. /Stark/
Dark ambient jest o tyle specyficznym gatunkiem muzycznym, że nie potrzeba do niego umiejętności grania na instrumentach ani specjalnie wyrafinowanego sprzętu. Wielu wystarcza zwykły pecet i odrobina samozaparcia. Skutkuje to tym, że właściwie każdy może spróbować swoich sił w komponowaniu ambientu. Faktycznie, kolejne projekty wyrastają jak grzyby po deszczu, zdecydowana większość z nich to zwykły chłam... Chciałbym w tym miejscu zapoczątkować nowy cykl, cykl krótkich wywiadów z projektami, które niczego jeszcze oficjalnie nie wydały, a które przynajmniej moim zdaniem zasługują na szczególną uwagę i są lepsze niż gro artystów którym udało się zaistnieć na CD. A nuż zwróci na nich uwagę jakiś wydawca...
Dark ambient is quite specific musical genre. It doesn't require any abilities of playing any instrument. A common PC and a bit of patience in many cases is enough. The result is that almost anyone could try his skills in composing ambient music. We have plenty of new projects and the truth is that most of them is simply rubbish... That's why I'd like to start a series of short interviews with unsigned artists which in my opinion are much better than many artists with already at least one CD released. The artists I'd like to present totally deserve for special attention. Who knows, perhaps someone will notice them... That's my purpose...
Na pierwszy ogień idzie rosyjski IN GOOD CONSCIENCE, prezentujący ambient mroczny, ale przy tym nie pozbawiony melodii i nastroju. Słychać zamysł i biegłość kompozycyjną w tych dźwiękach. Zaryzykowałbym nawet twierdzenie, że - abstrahując od kwestii technicznych i produkcyjnych, jakościowo naprawdę niewiele ta muzyka ustępuje asom z CMI czy Cyclic Law. Jakoś tak się złożyło, że większość projektów jakie do tej pory przepytywałem pochodzi z Włoch. OPIUM to kolejny z nich (a w kolejce czeka następny). Teo Zini para się ambientem raczej przystępnym, melodyjnym, ale nie pozbawionym jakiejś mrocznej nuty. Postanowiłem pogadać z nim o muzyce i nie tylko. Na zbiór składają się: Hymn do Pana, fragmenty Księgi Prawa, nabożeństwa kolekty z Mszy Gnostyckiej oraz Quia Patris z dramatu The Ship. Polskie wydanie wzbogacone zostało m.in. wierszem Thanatos Basileos, który Crowley skomponował w ostatnich miesiącach życia, epistołą O śmierci oraz fragmentem z biografii autora podsumowującym jego życie. Format: 24 x 31 cm, twarda oprawa, 26 stronic wydrukowanych na grubym 170 gramowym papierze.

Pamflet wydany przez polską sekcję Ordo Templi Orientis. Jeden z najbardziej wpływowych dokumentów, kształtujących wizję O.T.O. Aleistera Crowleya. Opisuje strukturę i sposób zarządzania zakonem oraz główne cele przyświecające jego istnieniu. Crowley sugerował swym uczniom medytacje nad tym dokumentem, albowiem uważał, iż studiując zrównoważony system O.T.O. można odkryć w jaki sposób najlepiej zarządzać własnym życiem. Fornat: 15 x 21 cm, miękka kredowa oprawa, stron 12.
Jedno z najistotniejszych dzieł przedstawiających myśl Crowleya, napisane w czasie, w którym osiągnął niemal szczyty swej magicznej kariery, cechowała go literacka płodność dojrzałość myśli i głębia duchowego wglądu. "For this, their sixth album, Lloyd James (voice, acoustic guitar, keyboards) and Joanne Owen (bass, accordion, keyboards) are joined by their regular drummer John Murphy (KNIFELADDER, SHINING VRIL). The album also features contributions from Greg Ferrari (WOMB) on electric guitar, Joanna Quail (SONVER) on cello, Matt Howden (SIEBEN) on violin and Arthur Shaw (CUTTY SARK) on keyboard. Dominic O’Connor (eulogised in Silent Life's "Dominic Song") is there in spirit – the album includes a cover version of one of his compositions, previously unreleased in any form. Many of the tracks here have already been performed live in recent Naevus festival appearances, notably "Meat On Meat", which is close in temperament to the preceding album "Silent Life". However, the remainder of the tracks on offer branch out in a range of other directions: "Dented Mess" harks back to the existential pop elements of "Truffles of Love"; "The German" is a dalliance with Schlager-esque murder balladry; while the title track itself combines slide guitar and lo-fi synths with the Naevus band sound. The centrepiece of the album, and Naevus' greatest recorded work to date, is the 18-minute "Go Grow", which takes the progressive rock influences that have been present in Naevus since the beginning (Hawkwind, Pink Floyd, etc.) and weds them with soaring cello and John Cale-esque piano pounding to produce a sublime epic. "ALBIREON started as a musical project back in late 1998 from the strong will of self expression of Davide Borghi (Vocals, guitars, lyrics) and Carlo Baja-Guarienti (keyboards, piano, flute). Albireon developed an heartfelt and clear sound with acoustic guitar and keyboards and started to write and record music. The first demo called “Where free birds sleep” was recorded with the precious help of ATARAXIA's guitarist Vittorio Vandelli and released in May 1999. After some months spent writing new tracks Albireon entered a small professional studio to record 4 new songs for a demo tape called "Amniosphere", released in September 2000, who helped the band spreading their name in the underground of folk-dark music. In the same studio Albireon completed the sessions for the first true full lenght release called "Disincanto" released as CD-R in June 2001. In the end of 2001 Albireon took a three months break and Davide Borghi met Stefano Romagnoli (Programming, samples, recordings) and started working with him at some more strange and disturbing music. The results of this collaboration was the creation of "Le stanze del sole nero", a gloomy ten tracks work featuring strange ballads in the purest vein of neofolk and industrial songs. "Le stanze del sole nero" was released as a self production CD-R in late 2002 and was re-pressed by Cynfeirdd in a limited edition E4E series in January 2004 with 4 bonus tracks taken from the first works of Albireon. This release was the first official work of Albireon and was sold out very quickly. "Di vuoto, d'angoscia e di pioggia" is the title of the promo CD released to introduce the album and the new full lenght CD "Il volo insonne" was released on Cynfeirdd on May 2005 and feature ten songs carrying neo folkish ballads, ambient and indus sounds and strange theatrical-like e xperiences. This album gained a great feedback and was a milestone in Albireon sensitive path and was the firts collaboration of drummer Lorenzo Borghi who joined the band with this release. Albireon are featured with the track "Danza del risveglio" on the cult 2CD compilation "Songs for Aliénor" released by Cynfeirdd beside Sol Invictus, Gae Bolg and the church of Fand, Camerata Mediolanense, In Gowan Ring and many others. Albireon asked Fire+Ice's vocalist Ian Read to sing the english version of "Danza del risveglio" titled "Awakening Dance" and he kindly agreed recording this song and another great collaboration was established with the famous neofolk german act Sonne Hagal for "Somewhere far from heaven". These collaborations were released by Cynfeirdd as limited special edition of 373 copies in September 2006 under the title of "Indaco ep", as a special limited edition MCD, together with two new songs, the new dreamy version of "Ala di falena" and a live track..The year 2007 saw Albireon develop some new projects and collaborations and slowly working on two new releases, an album of ballads not yet completed, "Le fiabe dei ragni funamboli" and a very special split ep ("Ahren") with Sonne Hagal was released in a limited edition on Final Muzik . Beside being featured in the David E. Williams tribute and the OEC 100 compilation, both on Old Europa Cafe, in 2008 Albireon completed the "I passi di Liu'", their definitive emotional masterwork".

Pozwólmy płynąć myślom, słowom, pozwólmy płynąć muzyce... Pozwólmy płynąć UCZUCIOM... Nowa winylowa płytka WERMUT. Czekałem długo, aż dotrze do mnie, i jest, wreszcie jest. Nie ukrywam, że ten projekt jest dla mnie absolutną czołówką, jeśli chodzi o muzykę, bez podziału na jakiekolwiek etykiety. Zawsze zaskakuje i trąca te najczulsze struny mojej osobowości. Obojętnie czy nagrywa muzykę w estetyce minimal electro, post folk / cold wave / cabaret, czy we wszystkich tych gatunkach jednocześnie. W każdym z nich WERMUT porusza się z wielką gracją i co tu dużo mówić, najwyższą klasą. Za każdym razem jest prawdziwy i wyjątkowy. Nie inaczej jest tym razem. Winyl wydany maksymalnie surowo, kojarzy mi się z singlami rodzimych gwiazd pop, które można było kupić w Polsce w latach 80 dzięki państwowej wytwórni Tonpress. Skrajny minimalizm, ale zarazem dobry gust.
Epka ta ukazała się z okazji specjalnego koncertu organizowanego w kwietniu bieżącego roku przez Enfant Terrible w Brukseli. Zagrali na nim szwedzki ORANGE SIDE GRINDER, NOSZTALGIA DIRECTIVA (niebawem więcej o tym nad wyraz ciekawym, węgierskim projekcie na stronach Apostazji) oraz WERMUT oczywiście. Utwory, które znalazły się na tym wydawnictwie pochodzą z archiwum zespołu i zostały nagrane w 2003 roku. Jakie są, zapytacie? Po prostu piękne, porażająco piękne... -> więcej <-
Let the thoughts, words flow, let the music flow… Let the FEELINGS flow… New vinyl of WERMUT. I have waited for this a long time, finally I got it. Frankly speaking, to me this project is absolutely in top 10 in music of all kinds. Always surprising and touching the most sensible sides of my personality. It doesn’t matter weather they record music in minimal electro, post folk/cold wave/cabaret aesthetics, or in all of this sorts simultaneously. In each of them WERMUT moves with grace and performs the highest quality. Every time the music sounds true and unique. This time is the same. The vinyl published in the extreme raw style brings to my mind singles of native pop stars, which you could buy in Poland in the 80’ies sold by the public records Tonpress. Totally minimal, but in very good taste.
This EP came out on the occasion of a special concert which was organized in April this year by the Enfant Terrible in Brussels. ORANGE SIDE GRINDER, NOSZTALGIA DIRECTIVA (more about this interesting Hungarian project soon on Apostazja site) and of course WERMUT took a part in it. Songs that appeared on this EP came from the archive of the group and were recorded in 2003. How do they sound? - you may ask. They are simply beautiful, extreme beautiful... -> here <-

"Some months ago J. Weber announced the official death of NOVY SVET, one of the most significant projects of the second post-industrial generation… and for many a true European legend. Time for us to look back on the very beginnings of the band, try to hear and feel how the story that is about to end came to be. We are very proud to present this collection of early songs, first Bohemian blooms which already carry in their core the drunken magic, the inimitable bitter sweet flavour, the slow poison which later distilled itself in RUMORARMONIO, FACCIA A FACCIA, CUORI DI PETROLIO and CHAPPAQUA. All tracks have been restored from the original tapes and appear here for the first time on vinyl. Included is a selection of the rare and much sought-after demo tracks released in the 90s on NOVY SVET’s own tape-label JUNGES WIEN, as well as completely unreleased archive material from the recording sessions of the first three albums. A unique opportunity to hear those lost jewels, once cast aside and yet which so deserve to finally be known to a wider audience".
"In spite of all their growing differences, there are still hidden places, elusive dimensions where East and West meet… For instance in the highly introspective music of the Marseille/Berlin based solo project NIEDOWIERZANIE, presenting here its first official album in the shape of five long instrumental pieces of neo-classical sound sculptures. Flirting both with IDM and contemporary music, mixing organic compositions (using a wide range of string, wind and self-made instruments) with electronic cut-ups and field recordings from the artist’s native Marseille and his extensive journeys through India, these intense, complex and luminous crescendos evoke the works of artists as diverse as COIL, MIRROR, MIASTO NIE SPALO and ARVO PÄRT".
"ÜL was formed in 2006 by Argentinians Alan Courtis (Reynols), Fernando Perales and Charly Zaragoza. They have performed live many times in Argentina and released two albums: "Astropecuario" on the Scottish label Pjorn Records and "II" on the Argentinian Facon Records. This is their third disk containing material recorded in 2007. The goal of ÜL is the exploration of timbric possibilities of electric guitars in their own way, combining elements of noise, drone music and free atonal improvisation. Their compositions immerse the listener into an abstract world of electromagnetic interaction between acoustic and electronic medium. A world glutted with raw sounds of string vibrations, droney feedback resonances, acute work of limiting amplifiers and layering echoes of effects".

"HYPNOZ is a project of Dmitry Zubov, a musician from Moscow suburb town Fryazino, which endowed the lovers of post-industrial music with such names as Hum and Staruha Mha. His first composition was recorded in 1993, and during its existence Hypnoz has released one CD on the Moscow label Insofar Vapour Bulk, which gathered tracks from different periods, a couple of very limited CD-Rs, and participated on the compilation "Iznutri" by the Ewers Tonkunst label with a fragment of a composition from this album. Aside from Hypnoz Dmitry plays in several other projects: Zuboff Sex Shop (post-punk / new-wave), Circle Of Iron Tape (harsh noise), BRZB (electronics, with Alexey Borisov), etc. The basis of most of the tracks for "Breath of Earth" was recorded by Dmitry together with Evgeny Voronovsky (Cisfinitum) during their joint night psychedelic sessions, and this is evidently felt in their mood. Stylistically this can be called tranquil electronic ambient with a remarkable experimental touch – but who thinks about it while recording? Slowly twisting sound helixes, drawing inside the astral subspaces, pulsating rhythms, cosmic sounds of old analogue synthesizers, – all this produces an appropriate effect on the listener's mind, and there's nothing more to demand from music".
"Cranes" is a new single from Russian neofolk project Majdanek Waltz, who have previously praised the heavenly manifestations in the concept of WWII. This new release is dedicated to all the soldiers who fought for the freedom of Europe in 1939-1945. After the years the theme of ideological enmity doesn't
loose it's topicality, but the band's music sates with wisdom and understanding of fallacy of fratricide. No More Wars Amongst Brothers - says the booklet of "Cranes" from Majdanek Waltz. "Split "Himmel Des Reichs / Der Himmel Uber Berlin" is a re-issue of the most energetic recording of MW with remastered sound, with special support of their associated from SS. In fact the release continues the theme of MW's single "Cranes" - the theme of inanity of the confrontation between the two forces
of brother-soldiers. And yet two poles can be distinctly seen here, divided both stylistically and ideologically. If four tracks of MW are the hymns of one of the confronting sides, performed at the meeting point of anxious military-industrial and dark-folk, four tracks of SS are the ambient-industrial memory of those who was at the other side of the front. The CD is accomplished by a thematical videoclip of SS "Der Himmel Uber Berlin" created from archive video-materials. The author is a clip-maker Oleg Potiy (VJ Dornier Wal). The artwork contains rare photographs from 1939 when the fighters of both poles were still confederates".

"Russian Industrial Depeche Mode Tribute is the result of 3 years of work made by Russian industrial musicians who wanted to express their attitude to the famous band in an unusual way. As a rule, DM tributes (and there are over 30 of them for today) present collections of carefully replayed DM songs, and this is done mostly for promoting those who decided to "replay the original" and make it "same way as bafore". Rush for Black Celebration is completely different in this sense. First of all, in it's mood. This disc almost completely lacks for serene naivety of 80-ies, oftenly associated with DM. On the contrary, here one can feel the aspiration for the dark corners of subconsciousness, where one can accidentally (or intentionally) get moving around the CD tracks. Secondly, this tribute is the only dedication to the legendary pop-band where the covers are not only driven by the feeling of recognition or love, but also by the critical revisiting their insane popularity, and even by the feeling of hatred to what they were doing. The result is 17 compositions almost fitting the 80-min limit of the CD. "The Luminous Experience", recorded on the darkest hour of Midsummer night 2008 in Enschede (The Netherlands), is the first complete live album from RAISON D'ETRE featuring the whole set of one concert. The live set mainly contains live only material: a mixture of composed and improvised elements that has never been experienced on CD before. Present here are also some live adapted compositions from the albums "The Empty Hollow Unfolds" and "Metamorphyses". "The Luminous Experience" is the 11th original album by RAISON D'ETRE since their first album "Prospectus I", released 15 years ago".

Ten songs, each representing one hour of her last ten in life, from the moments of the trial, - when her body is completely exhausted from pain - until her mind resigned to her fate of death. The lyrics of the first and the last song is a curse! - the true words spoken by a woman falsely accused of witchery and condemned to death in 1428. The witch of Medusa’s Spell is however a symbolic woman representing all women condemned as witches. By infernal torments and torture her mind and tongue slowly converts to the Devil… and her voice becomes finally the voice of the Devil. "Founded on a prophecy about the downfall of humanity and the end of the world, the Norwegian industrial death metal band V:28 set out on a musical journey through a world in turmoil. Their three albums, NonAnthropogenic, SoulSaviour and VioLution released by Vendlus Records, constitute the Total Deconstruction trilogy, where the band dug far into the dark matter of the human mind in search for the ultimate apocalypse. The burning desire to explore new musical territories lead to a multitude of interesting collaborations and approaches within the extreme metal genre.
